Chris Pratt, renowned for his role in “Guardians of the Galaxy,” is set to lead the cast of “Mercy,” an upcoming sci-fi thriller produced by Amazon MGM Studios.
The film, directed by Timur Bekmambetov, known for his work on “Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter” and “Ben-Hur,” will see Pratt in the lead role. Produced by Oscar-nominated producer Charles Roven, “Mercy” is slated to commence production in the spring of this year.

Written by Marco van Belle, “Mercy” is set in the near future, depicting a world where capital crime rates have surged. The plot follows a detective portrayed by Chris Pratt, who finds himself accused of a violent crime and must endeavor to prove his innocence.
