Daredevil: Born Again is literally born again as Marvel Studios restarts filming it

Marvel Studios is gearing up to resume production on “Daredevil: Born Again” after an 8-month hiatus. The show was put on hold in May, largely due to the impact of the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes. However, with a creative overhaul in place and Dario Scardapane, known for his work on Netflix’s “The Punisher,” stepping in as showrunner, the series is ready to get back on track.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, filming for “Daredevil: Born Again” is set to restart on Monday, January 22nd. Philip Silvera, the stunt coordinator from the Daredevil series, has been brought on board as the stunt coordinator and second unit director for “Born Again.”

In terms of format, Marvel has decided to reconsider the original plan for an 18-episode season, exploring other options instead. Vincent D’onofrio, who portrays Kingpin in the series, shared insights into the production status during his appearance in “Echo.”

D’onofrio revealed that filming is about to resume in New York City, with various locations including Brooklyn, Manhattan, and Chelsea being utilized. He also mentioned that the number of episodes for the season is still fluctuating, and an official announcement regarding the final count is pending.

The cast of “Daredevil: Born Again” features Charlie Cox as Daredevil, Vincent D’Onofrio as Kingpin, Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle, and other talented actors such as Margarita Levieva, Michael Gandolfini, and Sandrine Holt.

With additional cast members joining the lineup, including Nikki M James, Clark Johnson, Genneya Walton, Arty Froushan, and Zabryna Guevara, anticipation for the series premiere on Disney+ in 2025 continues to build.
