Fans are buzzing with excitement as Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman team up for the highly anticipated Marvel film, Deadpool 3. Set to introduce Deadpool into the MCU, the film holds the potential for exciting crossover events with other beloved Marvel characters.
Director Matthew Vaughn, known for his work on X-Men: First Class, recently teased that Deadpool 3 could be a game-changer for the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe. In an interview with BroBible, Vaughn expressed his enthusiasm for the R-rated Marvel film, suggesting that it could inject new life into the franchise.
Vaughn remarked, “That’s going to be the jolt… the Marvel universe is about to have a jolt of them and it’s going to bring that body back to life… I think Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman are about to save the whole Marvel universe.” Although Vaughn is not directly involved in Deadpool 3, his hope is for the film to restore Marvel’s former glory.
In Deadpool 3, Reynolds reprises his role as the irreverent Deadpool, while Jackman returns as the iconic Wolverine. The film follows Wade Wilson’s decision to retire Deadpool and become a used car salesman, only to be pulled back into action when the fate of the world hangs in the balance.
Directed by Shawn Levy and written by Rhett Reese, Paul Wernick, and Zeb Wells, Deadpool 3 promises to be an exhilarating addition to the Marvel lineup. The cast also includes Morena Baccarin, Brianna Hildebrand, and Jennifer Garner.
Fans can anticipate the trailer premiere for Deadpool 3 during the Super Bowl event in February, with the film hitting theaters on July 26, 2024.
