The highly anticipated live-action remake of Disney’s beloved animated classic, “Lilo & Stitch,” is rumored to be heading to Disney+ next summer. While there hasn’t been much official news regarding the release date, an inside source known as Daniel RPK has claimed that the film will debut on the streaming platform in June 2024.
This update comes after a period of silence on the project, with the last major news being the reveal of a live-action Stitch spotted on set earlier this year. Additionally, actor Kahiau Machado’s replacement by Kaipo Dudoit for the role of David stirred some discussion about the film.
The cast of the 2024 live-action “Lilo & Stitch” includes Maia Kealoha as Lilo, Sydney Agudong as Lilo’s sister Nani, and Chris Saunders reprising his role as the voice of Stitch, a character he has voiced since the original 2002 film. Tia Carrere, the original voice of Nani, joins the cast as a new character, Mrs. Kekoa. Other cast members include Zach Galifianakis as Jumba, Billy Magnussen as Pleakley, and Courtney B. Vance as Cobra Bubbles.
“Lilo & Stitch” holds a special place in the hearts of Disney fans, making the live-action remake one of the most anticipated titles coming to Disney+ in 2024.
While the release date has yet to be officially confirmed by the studio, fans can look forward to reuniting with their favorite Hawaiian duo and their extraterrestrial companion on Disney+ in June 2024.
