Donald Glover recently discussed his role as Aaron Davis, also known as the Prowler, in the expanding Spider-Man Universe shared by Sony and Marvel Studios. Glover made his debut as Miles Morales’ uncle in Spider-Man: Homecoming and later appeared in his Prowler guise in Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse.
In a recent “Lie Detector Test” episode with Vanity Fair, Glover addressed his involvement in the Spider-Man world. When asked if his cameo in Across the Spider-Verse was Sony’s way of apologizing for not casting him as Spider-Man, Glover dismissed the notion, suggesting it wasn’t a consideration for the studio.
Instead, Glover hinted at the possibility of reprising his role as Prowler in a live-action Miles Morales movie. He speculated that Sony might be more interested in him portraying Prowler in such a film, implying that he’s too old to play Spider-Man himself.
While Glover’s potential return as Prowler seems likely, Sony has yet to announce casting for a live-action Miles Morales. Actor Shameik Moore, who voices the animated Miles Morales in Spider-Verse, has expressed interest in playing the character in live-action. However, it remains to be seen who Sony will ultimately cast for the role.
As fans eagerly await further updates, Sony’s Live-Action Miles Morales Movie has yet to receive a release date. Stay tuned for more developments in the Spider-Verse saga.
