Amazon MGM Studios has officially given the green light to the third and final season of the beloved Prime Video series, “Good Omens.” Unlike the previous seasons, this installment will depart from the novel’s source material and instead draw inspiration from a conversation between Neil Gaiman and the late Sir Terry Pratchett, where they envisioned the future of the characters.
Neil Gaiman expressed his excitement about concluding the story he and Pratchett outlined years ago. The upcoming season will delve back into the theme of Armageddon, with Crowley and Aziraphale facing the daunting task of averting disaster once more.
Production is set to commence in Scotland, with a scheduled premiere on Prime Video in 2024. Gaiman will remain as executive producer, writer, and showrunner, alongside other key figures such as Rob Wilkins and Josh Cole.
Starring Michael Sheen and David Tennant, “Good Omens” has captivated audiences worldwide since its debut as a limited series in 2019. Fans can catch up on the first two seasons streaming now on Prime Video.
