Jennifer Garner is reportedly in talks to join the cast of Ben Affleck’s upcoming Netflix crime film, Animals. Directed by Affleck and starring Matt Damon in the lead role, the movie is set to commence filming in Los Angeles this March.
If finalized, Garner would portray Damon’s wife in Animals, marking the first time Affleck directs a film featuring his ex-wife. The two actors have previously collaborated in movies like Pearl Harbor (2001) and Daredevil (2003), with Affleck also making a cameo in a deleted scene from Elektra (2005).
Garner, renowned for her role in ABC’s Alias and notable performances in films such as Catch Me If You Can and 13 Going on 30, has recently appeared in Netflix productions like Yes Day (2021), The Adam Project (2022), and Family Switch (2023).
Animals follows the story of a mayoral candidate whose son is kidnapped, prompting the candidate and his wife to uncover the truth themselves amidst political and personal adversaries. The couple must navigate through challenges to rescue their son, relying on their own determination and resources.
Netflix’s Animals is currently without a release date.
