Patrick Stewart recently shared insights into his experience filming “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness,” revealing some challenges he faced on set. In an interview with Josh Horowitz on Happy Sad Confused, Stewart discussed his feelings during a scene where Scarlet Witch takes down the Marvel-Illuminati, a group that includes Stewart’s character, Professor X.
Stewart mentioned feeling isolated during the scene, noting that each leading actor filmed their part separately. Despite the frustration and disappointment of filming alone, Stewart acknowledged the challenges of recent years, including labor issues, health concerns, and the impact of COVID-19.
In the “big scene” referenced by Stewart, Benedict Cumberbatch’s Doctor Strange seeks assistance from the Marvel-Illuminati, including characters like Mr. Fantastic, Captain Marvel, and Captain Britain, among others. However, Scarlet Witch proves to be a formidable opponent, taking down each member of the group.
Additionally, Stewart teased the possibility of appearing alongside Hugh Jackman in “Deadpool 3.” While not confirming his involvement, he hinted at ongoing discussions about a potential cameo.
“Deadpool 3” is set to feature characters like Elektra and various other X-Men/Fox-Marvel characters, alongside stars Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman. It is the only Marvel film scheduled for release in 2024, with “Captain America: Brave New World” and “Thunderbolts” rescheduled for 2025. “Deadpool 3” is slated to hit theaters on July 26, 2024.
